ABOUT ME

My name is Alice and I am passionate about exercise, nutrition, human behaviour and psychology. I studied the science of exercise and nutrition for my Masters degree to gain an understanding of how exercise and nutrition can be used to positively impact not only fitness and sports performance, but our general health and wellbeing.

My research paper (click here to view) explored the barriers and motivators for exercise and healthy eating which made me realise that what motivates or serves as a barrier to one person can be very different to the next person. Many factors, such as lifestyle, sleep pattern, stress levels, personal life and work commitments, diet, hydration, relationships and personality traits, all affect our health and wellbeing – it’s a matter of finding the right balance.

As a PT it’s my job to work alongside you to help you build a sustainable and fun routine which lowers potential barriers and builds your confidence!

Since qualifying as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 2 Fitness Instructor I have been based at Pure Gym in Altrincham as a self-employed personal trainer.
